In the ever-changing cannabis industry, success relies on strong relationships. Networking within the cannabis community is crucial for growth and success, connecting cultivators, retailers, manufacturers, advocates, and ancillary businesses.
As an award-winning cannabis marketing agency, we have access to all types of businesses and understand their deepest concerns, goals, and needs. That’s why we joined hands with Joint Venture & Co to put on the annual TeeHC Open – to close gaps and stimulate relationship building.
With this non-traditional cannabis networking event, we hope to foster the connections business owners need through unique activities like brand activations, golf contests, and more.
In 2023, this event brought together over 400 attendees from New England and beyond, featured 100+ cannabis businesses, offered 20+ non-golf activities, and raised funds for 4 different charities.
Non-Traditional Cannabis Networking
The Highfields Country Club & Golf Course was transformed during the TeeHC Open. With 18+ innovative brand activations scattered across the course, golfers and networkers alike found opportunities to connect, discuss the future of their cannabis companies and careers, and enjoy immersive experiences.
From Hole 1 to Hole 18, we featured an array of exciting activities, like the air cannon contest and the Bertha bus; every hole offered a unique encounter that cultivated conversations and connections.
Cannabis Creative was proud to host our own interactive booth, alongside Warner’s Best and our client, Kelia. Many attendees especially enjoyed our claw machine, filled with nugs and prerolls.

The buzz extended beyond the greens into the clubhouse and out on the lawn under the tent in our Chill Zone, sponsored by Outfront Media. Attendees indulged in henna designs, kokedama art, puppy playtime, and consumption stations. Holistic Industries, Pax, The Healing Rose, and other sponsors provided delicious samples, yoga sessions, and more.
These off-course activities fostered a sense of inclusivity and camaraderie, facilitating meaningful connections among non-golfing attendees.
In addition to all the brand activations, the TeeHC Open proudly partnered with charities like Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, Hilary for Charity, Cannabis Center of Excellence, and No Mutts Left Behind, raising more than $5K in donations.
Rain or Shine
Come rain or shine, the cannabis industry has consistently proven its resilience in the face of challenges. Whether it’s unexpected legislative changes, marketing rules and regulations, financial burdens, social equity, or really, anything else – we have persevered.
This is a fitting metaphor, given that during the TeeHC Open, an unexpected flash storm soaked the event for 20 minutes, and yet the show went on; a testament to our determination and commitment to cultivating connections.
Attendees impressively continued to network, golf (after things cleared up), and engage in various activities, mirroring the industry’s ability to adapt and thrive despite occasional setbacks. Let’s just say we’re thankful for that tent!
